You cannot think about things in the present. You can only think about things in the future or in the past. This is the way consciousness operates. It doesn’t matter, that’s the way it operates.
It thinks in the future and you are witnessing that. You’re able to witness your activity and in the place where you’re witnessing that activity is where you find Peace. There’s not a moment that that place is not there.
Thoughts are in the past and the future and Peace is in the present so you need to distinguish that…You are in the present. You are Presence itself. You are. And in Presence there are thoughts about the future and the past.
We don’t need to touch it. We don’t need to change it. We need to understand that’s not where the Peace is. It’s not in the thoughts and it’s not in the absence of the thoughts. You need the absence of the thoughts sometimes for you to notice that it is present already, effortlessly but it doesn’t mean you need to be absent of thought. It doesn’t mean you cannot have thoughts.
